Believe it or not “just another case of the white man taking from the Indian” is likely not the worst thing I said or did last Friday night.
3 out of my 5 companions, and myself, walked away with 600, 600, 1000, and 1400 from the casino. I was one of the 600 winners and boy did I feel alive…
I drank myself into a blackout. A rare occasion, typically an annual occurrence. I tend to overindulge! Does that make me the villain? Sometimes in my own life, yes.
2 hr drive -> gamble for 3 hours, drink 3 coronas -> shop for an hour -> back to room to get ready and shower -> go to dinner, drink 3 fruity drinks -> price is right love show, no drinky-drinky -> back to hotel room, two bourbon shots, vodka soda -> hit the club -> sike! I forgot my phone in the room -> hit the club for real this time -> bottle service, vip shit -> happy birthday John! -> hit the floor -> dance for the next 3 hours going crazy while downing a large number of vodka red bulls -> flirt with one of best friends -> time to leave club -> blackout begins -> bump fists with half naked bottle service girl -> fall backwards into a headstand -> bounce up and quickly escape the club before I am tossed out -> find friends -> demonstrate how I fell over -> apparently gamble another $20 -> apparently hog two joints in the smoking circle out in the depressing designated smoking area (I don’t smoke weed anymore) -> apparently continue flirting with friend (that I do remember) -> return to hotel room -> manage to remove contact lenses -> fall asleep on bed fully clothed, shoes and hat (I was not wearing one to the club) still on -> sleep 6 hours on top of keys, phone, wallet -> wake up and get the fuck out of there.
Eventful to say the least. Embarrassing? Only a little. Need to slow down sometimes? Yeah. Hard when I feel good (mania). No depression though so that’s pretty cool.
I did get sick and feel like garbage as I type this.
At least I can make myself laugh.
